General Discussion / Cryptocurrency in Asian Markets
« Last post by valentia on July 26, 2017, 02:10:53 PM »
Hi everyone  :)

Talking about cryptocurrency in Asian markets is always interesting to me. Recently, Korean markets were buying Bitcoin at over $4000 – a $1400 premium or 50% premium to the USD price. Korean volumes hold 11% of total bitcoin trading. Furthermore, Japan had accepted bitcoin as legal payment method in April 2017.

The massive transactions in Asian Markets could be one of many reasons behind the higher price of cryptocurrency. Many people worried about this situation, because cryptocurrency prices are unpredictable. But for some people such as investors or newcomers, the news about significant movement in Asian markets will be an opportunity to turn into cryptocurrency market.

So don't worry to invest in cryptocurrency, keep yourself updated with cryptocurrency news everyday!
General Discussion / When to buy / sell ?

Good day everybody,

Current volatility of the crycrypto currencies has rekindeled my interest in the speculation of virtual assets and thus i would be very much interested to know how each of you desides when its time to buy / sell a particular virtual currency.

In particular im interested - What methods are you using to determine when is the best time to sell/buy and what has worked for you best over the long period?

For me the main price movment indicator has been news, however, relaying on news has been an incosistent method as it can be quite hard to determine which news will drive the price or up or down significantly (unless its some game changing news such as Forks).

Hopefully some of you will share some their secrets of trade x)

General Discussion / Car Purchase with Bitcoin
« Last post by JFK on July 25, 2017, 11:47:46 AM »
Hello, everyone!

These days, Bitcoin is being adopted more and more. One of the nice services that are nice to see that many car dealerships which are taking a step into the future, are accepting Bitcoin for purchasing, no matter what segmentation the car is, could be luxury or economic. For example, a Lamborghini can be bought from the dealership now with Bitcoins.

There is also a website called BitPremier, a bit similar to eBay that allows buying with Bitcoins, that puts luxurious cars from Ferrari, Porsche, Mercedes Benz, Corvette, with Bitcoin. However, this website sells everything besides cars, it is including real estate, jewelry, antiques etc ...
I might be getting a Testarossa for that kind of price in BTC.

Car leasing with Bitcoin is possible as well, but only in the UK, with which is the first leasing company that accepts Bitcoins.

The price of cars depends on the brand. For example, a cheap Toyota Prius is 12,49 XBT, while buying a Ferrari 488 GTB is mostly like 95,33 XBT.
Prices of cheaper cars would be just between 2 to 10 bitcoins and not thousands.

There are more websites and car dealership that accept Bitcoins which are not listed here.
This could possibly be a push for adoption of Bitcoins in the market and the economy everywhere.

Feel free to add any suggestions or websites about anything concerned!

Off-Topic / Girl, 5, fined £150 for lemonade stand
« Last post by CVFSchurchrat on July 21, 2017, 11:01:34 AM »

A five-year-old girl was fined £150 by a council for selling 50p cups of lemonade to festival goers.

The girl's father Andre Spicer said his daughter had set up the stall in Mile End, east London, while thousands of music fans were on their way to the Lovebox Festival at the weekend.

Mr Spicer said his daughter burst into tears and told him "I've done a bad thing."

An interesting reader commented "The little girl was not fined, the father was, as he was selling food/drink without a permit. The fact that he had his daughter with him who was crying is beside the point. Maybe the council officials were a bit overzealous and should told him that he was not allowed to sell lemonade without a permit and given him a warning. The reason there is a need for a permit is that if what you are selling makes somebody ill, it would be traceable. Do people really want to be drinking/eating things that they have no idea what they could contain?"

However it's interesting to think how much protection do we need from the government  to the point of enforcement and  fines should people start taking more responsibility would be nice if we could have a balance between the two. Where a girl selling lemonade with fresh and clear ingredients can do exactly that.

Yeah, I find the lines of Freeman's mind to be fantastic, I sometimes run it in the background while I work like a funny podcast :P

It's made by Ross Scott, he took a game with a silent protagonist (Half-Life 1) and played through it pretending to be Freeman's thoughts or voice to himself. He has some amazing lines because the game is pretty ridiculous and he reacts to it like a normal (if neurotic) person would. If you want to watch the whole series just search Freeman's mind on youtube. He has like 60 episodes or something.
